Textile Art

Textile art offers endless opportunities for creative exploration. On this course, you'll have the opportunity to explore some of them to produce a beautiful piece of art. No previous art experience is necessary.

Over six weeks you will be aiming to create a single piece of work to show at the end. Your tutor will help you think of ideas with an introductory session and examples. 

Each week, different textile based techniques (embroidery, sewing, appliqué, felting etc.) will be demonstrated by your tutor, teaching specifics if required, and responding to individual's needs.

You can explore options to create textile art sustainably by recycling or upcycling various materials.

The course aims to meet you where you are whether a beginner or a seasoned textile explorer.
