Dry Stone Walling - Level 1

Dry Stone Walling - Level 1 - An accredited course for people wishing to expand on their knowledge and skills in the art of dry stone walling, with the possibility of a new career path, and culminating in a Level 1 test (DSWA/LANTRA).

If you have little previous experience of dry stone walling, we recommend that before this course, you come on our half day taster course (Sat 5th September 10:00 – 13:00) and / or the National Stone Centre beginners weekend course, or a Derbyshire DSWA weekend course to check that this construction craft is for you.

It is essential you also have some where to practice in between the taught sessions, whilst on the qualification course.

Course Schedule

Thursday 10th September - Induction Day 9am to 5pm

Monday / Tuesday 14 + 15 Sept – L1 Walling session 9am to 5pm

Monday/ Tuesday 5 + 6 October – L1 Speed Test session 9am to 5pm

Monday/ Tuesday 26 + 27 October – L1 Mock Test session 9am to 5pm

Thursday 29 Oct – Test Day L1 - start time 7.30 am to 5pm

Special Introductory Price

The Course Fee of £350 is payable on Booking. The Test Fee of £162 is payable in cash on the Induction day.

When you have booked onto this Level 1 course, we will invite you to a full day induction session in the week before the course starts, to avoid doing ‘paperwork’ on the teaching days.
